The 8(a) STARS (Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services) Contract Vehicle is an 8(a) set-aside multiple award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle for Information Technology Products and Services. The use of this contract vehicle allows federal agencies to receive socio-economic procurement preference credit for their purchases. GSA has extended the ordering period for the 8(a) STARS GWAC. Task orders may be issued through November 30, 2011. Order performance must be completed by May 31, 2014.
ARRAY is the Prime Contractor through a Small Business Joint Venture, ArrayMax. 8(a) STARS has a program ceiling of $15 billion dollars with a period of performance through May 31, 2014.
Advantages of using the STARS contract include:- Directed task orders up to $4 million each for federal civilian agencies are allowable pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(5)
